Your Trauma, Anxiety and Relationship Therapist
Hi, I’m Christy. I’m an Individual, Couples, and Family Therapist. I’m a Trauma, Anxiety and Relationship Specialist, and an EMDR Therapist, but you could call me your compassionate mentor in healing and empowerment, your therapist, or simply a counselor.
Anxiety and Fear
I help people who long to feel understood and valued for who they truly are—weaknesses and all—but feel alone and fear they are crazy or not good enough, or that they will be rejected or abandoned.
Effective and Healing
The ways I approach therapy are different than most therapists.
I use 80 minute sessions—which are called double sessions—with all of my clients because these longer sessions are considered best practice, and one 80 minute session is so much more effective than 2 typical-length, shorter therapy sessions. These double sessions really allow us to identify and explore what’s going on beneath the surface, so we can address those underlying causes which can lead to genuine healing and lasting, long-term change within you, your life and your relationships. The progress, change and momentum we are able to create with the work we do in our double sessions is incredible and life-changing.
Relationship Oriented, Solution Focused & Treating Causes
I have a unique approach:
being a relationship-oriented therapist to create a safe and trusting relationship with you to work through what you’re experiencing and struggling with
being a solution-focused therapist and Polyvagal theory oriented therapist to provide you some initial relief from anxiety and stress
treating causes not just symptoms so that we really heal what’s creating your struggles rather than just putting a band-aid on the symptoms or a “quick fix” that doesn’t last

I am also a very experienced therapist and social worker---practicing as a therapist since 2003 and as a social worker since 1997, so I know what I’m doing, can create a plan with you that is uniquely individualized to you, and have helped thousands of people to change their lives for the better before you.
